When to use this service
Follow this process if you want to apply for a new RIPE ASN or transfer an existing ASN to GetIPv6 as the sponsoring LIR.
Choose the right product
- RIPE ASN — for organizations that already have an IPv6 (or IPv4) prefix allocated to their RIPE org.
- RIPE ASN + /48 IPv6 — recommended when your RIPE organization has no IP resources yet; a free /48 IPv6 is included so you meet the prefix requirement.
Ordering process
- Place your order for the right product and complete payment.
- Open your service page from your dashboard after checkout.
- Submit your application details — fill in all required information and upload supporting documents. Double-check everything before submitting to avoid delays.
Not sure what to prepare? See RIPE ASN Application Requirements.
Application workflow
Your request moves through these stages:
| Stage | What it means |
|---|---|
| 1. Draft | You fill in or correct your application information. |
| 2. Pending Review | We verify your submitted information and documents. |
| 3. EUAA Sent | Review passed; the End User Assignment Agreement (EUAA) is sent for your signature. |
| 4. Submitted to RIPE NCC | After signing, we submit your request to RIPE NCC for evaluation. |
| 5. ASN Issued | Your ASN is issued, or your sponsoring LIR is successfully changed to us. |
Tip: during review and RIPE NCC processing we may ask for extra clarification or documents — respond quickly to keep things moving.
Processing timeline
Status changes on our side typically happen within one business day. The "Submitted to RIPE NCC" stage depends on RIPE NCC's own schedule — note that RIPE NCC does not work weekends or holidays, so expect heavier queues right after them.
