Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about ASN registration and IPv6 leasing

An Autonomous System Number (ASN) is a unique identifier assigned to a network or group of networks that share a common routing policy. ASNs are essential for BGP routing, allowing your network to exchange routing information with other networks on the internet. With an ASN, you can implement multi-homing, control your IP address announcements, and maintain independence from any single upstream provider.
To qualify for an ASN under RIPE NCC policies, you must have at least two upstream providers (multi-homing requirement). This can include transit providers, IXP connections, or peering arrangements. You also need a valid reason for requiring an ASN, such as operating your own network infrastructure or providing network services. Both companies and individuals can apply for an ASN.
Our ASN registration process typically takes 1-3 business days from the moment you complete your order and provide all required information. We handle all the paperwork and communication with RIPE NCC on your behalf. Once approved, your ASN is immediately ready for use with BGP routing.
PI (Provider Independent) addresses are assigned directly to end users and remain with them regardless of their upstream provider. PA (Provider Aggregatable) addresses are allocated to LIRs and assigned to their customers. PA space is more cost-effective and easier to obtain, while PI space offers more independence but requires separate sponsorship agreements.
Yes, we provide Letter of Authorization (LOA) for all our IP address assignments. The LOA confirms your right to announce the IP space via BGP and is often required by upstream providers and IXPs. We also handle ROA (Route Origin Authorization) creation for RPKI validation upon request.
Yes, ASN transfers between sponsors are possible. If you wish to move your ASN to a different LIR or take it with you to your own LIR membership, we will facilitate the transfer process. The ASN remains yours; only the sponsorship arrangement changes.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, bank transfers (SWIFT/SEPA), and cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC, ...). For annual or multi-year plans, we offer flexible payment options to suit your needs.
ASN registration has no setup fee. Some IPv6 allocations include a small one-time setup fee, shown with an asterisk (*) next to the price; everything else is billed at the recurring price shown. All prices include RIPE NCC processing, RIPE database maintenance, LOA provision and support.

Professional ASN Registration & IPv6 Services

DGTL.TECH is a trusted provider of Autonomous System Number (ASN) registration and IPv6 address leasing services within the RIPE NCC region as a verified RIPE NCC member. We serve network operators, hosting providers, enterprises, and individuals across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.

An Autonomous System Number (ASN) is essential for any organization that wants to control its own routing policy on the internet. With an ASN, you can implement multi-homing for redundancy, peer directly at Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), and maintain full control over your IP address announcements through BGP (Border Gateway Protocol).

Our services include complete handling of RIPE NCC documentation, WHOIS database management, LOA (Letter of Authorization) provision, and RPKI/ROA support for secure routing. Whether you're a startup launching your first network or an established ISP expanding your infrastructure, we provide the resources and expertise you need.

With offices in London, UK and Sheridan, WY, USA, we serve over 500 networks worldwide with a 4.9/5 customer rating. Our team brings years of experience in IP address management, BGP operations, and RIPE NCC policies.
